Former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni continues to set the standards high in fitness for the Indian cricket team, even 15 years after making his international debut.

Meanwhile, former India physical trainer Ramji Srinivasan labeled Dhoni as the fittest Indian cricketer.

Moreover, Ramji worked with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the recently concluded season where Dhoni’s incredible fitness level was one of the talking points.

Dhoni-led CSK to their third title win beating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets.

MS Dhoni is still the fittest of them all in the Indian team,” Ramji reveals to TOI.

The Super Kings started their fitness camp a fortnight before the tournament – to prepare their squad.

Meanwhile, reflecting on the camp and tournament, Ramji admitted the Dhoni sets an example.

Dhoni led by example,” he added.

However, Board of Control for Cricket in India will conduct a fitness camp in Bangalore in early June of the 40-odd cricketers.

The former Indian fitness trainer believes Dhoni’s fitness will continue to set the standard in these camps.

Between the 5th and the 10th, fitness tests alone will be the priority,” says BCCI sources.

Along with the compulsory Yo-Yo tests that the cricketers will undergo, the BCCI is likely to plan DEXA scans for dual-energy absorptiometry. This scan is understood to be the standard for the measurement of body composition and bone health.

Meanwhile, India will resume their international cricket with a One-off Test against Afghanistan.

The iconic Test will commence on June 14 at Bengaluru before India flies to Ireland and England. Pertinently, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been an inspiration for many.
