Cricket has some fascinating stories on display and one such example has been of a wicketkeeper-batter Nuzhat Parveen, who hails from the Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh and has been in awe of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Overwhelming against all odds, Nuzhat aka Khushboo has made her entry in the national fold within five years which further saw her representing the Under-16 football team in Madhya Pradesh.

In 2012, Nuzhat led U16 football team before writing fresh scrip behind the stumps which simultaneously saw her being supported by the family.

The 21-year-old right-handed batter was the part of ICC 2017 Women’s World Cup which already saw her representing in the solitary One-day International against Ireland Women at Potchefstroom in May 2017.

International Debut for India Eves:

The promising batter Nuzhat made her international debut against Windies Women’s team at Vijayawada in November 2016 which didn’t have a much of a success in her favour after scoring just a run and went on to affect a stumping and a catch.

Interestingly, Nuzhat is bound to play the Twenty20 series against South Africa as the tournament will kick off on February.

Following spectacular performances in the domestic fold, Nuzhat impressed the selection committee which saw her breaking into the World Cup squad for the runners-up team.

Known for the sharp glovework, Nuzhat is following the footsteps of former Indian skipper Dhoni, who has been lightning quick while donning the gloves.

Moreover, Nuzhat is said to be following the 36-year-old specialist closely to improve her glovework which has been an important trait when it comes to the gentleman’s game.

Having the interesting for the soccer as well like Dhoni, who used to be a goalkeeper at his tender age, as Nuzhat has been passionate about cricket since she was at the tender age of seven.

Belonging to the Rewa Division, Nuzhat has become overall second cricketer which already saw fast bowler Ishwar Pandey, who was picked in the squad but didn’t feature in any game.

Nuzhat has hailed Dhoni while remarking the veteran is her idol and he is the one who motivated her to excel in the professional field.

On the division basis, Nuzhat has been nursed by Aril Anthony, who has been working with the Rewa Cricket Association (RCA) which further saw her being the deputy for Central Zone’s Under-19 team.

When Nuzhat donned gloves:

In 2012, Nuzhat while representing the inter-district tournament donned the gloves and put decent performances to impress the selection committee and in the space of five years, the batswoman has scaled the heights to don the national jersey.

The enthusiastic cricketer Nuzhat went on to wrestle it out in the nets with the bat while setting up her prime focus on donning the glove.
