Meet Virat Kohli's Fan From Odisha Who Has 16 Tattoos Of His Idol

Indian captain Virat Kohli is a role model for a lot of budding cricketers. The Delhi batsman is not only an idol for all the sportspersons in terms of commitment towards what they do but also along the lines of maintaining the fitness levels and keeping intact the style statement. And as per the latest happenings, a fan from Behrampur in Odisha ended up inking Virat Kohli’s permanent tattoo all over his body, including his jersey number 18 behind his back.

Pintu Behra, aged 31, revealed that he has spent over one lakh over getting these tattoos made. Pintu said that being an ardent follower of the star cricketer and as a cricket lover since childhood, he has become a big fan of Kohli over time and his style of playing. Pintu wanted to get the tattoos engraved since 2016, and since he didn’t have enough back then, he started accumulating and got it scribbled to shower his respect for him.

“I’m a cricket lover from my childhood and became a big fan of Virat Kohli because of his style of playing. So, I have decided to show my respect to him in this way. When I decided to make tattoos in 2016, I didn’t have any money. So, I started saving money and got tattoos inked.” Pintu said as quoted by ANINews.com

He further conceded that he watches all the matches starring Kohli live at the stadium and that if given a chance to attend overseas games, he surely would. One of his unforgettable moments came around when he got to meet the skipper in a Test match in Vishakhapatnam between India and South Africa recently. The fan got his wish fulfilled which was pending since the year 2016.

“I go to watch every cricket match of Virat Kohli within the country. I didn’t go to watch the match outside of the country. If I get a chance, I will definitely go. I didn’t imagine that he would meet and hug me. It was a special moment for me. I have been waiting to meet him since 2016. Finally, I got the opportunity to meet him during a Test match between India and South Africa in Vishakhapatnam in October.” he mentioned in this regard.

The Indian cricket team will square off against the West Indies in the third and the final ODI at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Sunday. Virat Kohli would be looking forward to making a massive score in the series-decider, having been dismissed for scores of 4 and 0 in the first and second ODI respectively.
