Former England captain Michael Vaughan is facing the heat from Bangladesh fans after his tweet on Shakib Al Hasan’s ban. The ICC, on Tuesday, banned the allrounder for two years with one year suspended after the allrounder failed to report several approaches from a bookie.

Between 2017 and 2018, the bookie named Deepak Aggarwal approached Shakib Al Hasan through WhatsApp on a number of occasions to get details about the team. However, the Bangladesh star did not inform the ICC or even the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) about the same.

Shakib Al Hasan’s ban will end in October next year provided he satisfies the ICC with his actions. In order to avoid the one-year suspended sentence coming into effect, Shakib must not commit any offence under the Anti-Corruption Unit code during the initial one-year suspension. He will also have to participate regularly in anti-corruption education and/or rehabilitation programmes.

Following the ban, Michael Vaughan took to Twitter to state that he has no sympathy for the allrounder. He also said that Shakib should have been slapped with a longer ban. And not surprisingly, the Bangladesh fans came down hard on the England  legend for his tweet.

One of the fans, in fact, went on to abuse Michael Vaughan. The user named Asif Ferdous asked Vaughan to ‘f**k off’ and reminded him about how England won this year’s World Cup due to an ICC rule.

“Oh fuck off vaughan. Be thankful to ICC for having a ridiculous rule to win the World Cup on boundary counts,” wrote the user.

Well, Michael Vaughan being Michael Vaughan hilariously responded to the abuse. The ex-cricketer did not hit back at the user but teased him by posting a GIF of a man celebrating.
