The love-hate relationship between Virat Kohli and Mitchell Johnson is not a secret anymore. While the India skipper rarely speaks about Mitchell Johnson, the latter rarely squanders an opportunity to take a shot at the former. It all started when the two faced off during the Test series in 2014.
Mitchell Johnson had infamously thrown a ball at Virat Kohli’s body and the latter then took the ex-pacer to the cleaners. Since then, the legendary Australian has taken shots at the India batting superstar every now and then. And he was up to his old tricks once again on Tuesday as he took a dig at Virat Kohli for his comments during the second Test against New Zealand.
With New Zealand looking comfortable while chasing India’s total on the third morning of the Test, Virat Kohli was heard shouting to his teammates: “Jab India mein yeh log aayengey, tab dikha doonga (When they will come to India, we will show them).”
The 31-year old has been facing criticism for his comments and behaviour during the match and Mitchell Johnson also could not stop himself from taking a dig at him. The World Cup and Ashes-winner took to Instagram to share a picture of Kohli’s comments.
“This gave me a laugh” wrote Mitchell Johnson before posting a picture of a violin and an emoji next to his comment.

Unsurprisingly, a number of Indian fans slammed Mitchell Johnson for his activity on Instagram. But the ex-cricketer did not take any offence to the comments from the Indian fans and instead said that he was enjoying them. He posted a number of pictures to state that he was enjoying the replies from the fans.
