New Zealand pacer Mitchell McClenaghan has expressed his worries over the way India have outplayed the Black Caps in the first two T20Is despite Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma not playing big knocks. Contrary to the popular expectations, the ongoing T20I series between India and New Zealand has been lopsided so far.
India did not face any problem in beating the hosts in the first two games. In the first game, New Zealand scored a mammoth total of 203 for 5. However, India chased down the big total with ease as they crossed the line with an over to spare. The Men in Blue had won the game by six wickets.

New Zealand’s performance was even worse in the second T20I on Sunday. Despite batting first on a good batting track, the hosts could only manage to post 132 for 5 in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, India chased down the total inside 18 overs to get closer to registering their first-ever T20I series win in New Zealand.

No Kohli, Rohit Show yet:
What has caught everyone’s attention in the first two T20Is is that India chased down total in both the games with ease despite their batting mainstays Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli failing to deliver. In the first game, Virat Kohli scored 45 but he departed when the score was just 121 in pursuit of 204 while he was out for only 11 in the second game.
On the other hand, Rohit Sharma is yet to reach the double-digit mark in the series. His scores in the first two games have been 7 and 8. And Mitchell McClenaghan believes it is scary that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have not fired yet although India have registered two easy wins. The left-arm pacer took to Twitter to express his apprehension, writing:
“Anyone scared that @ImRo45 and @imVkohli haven’t fired yet?”
