Young upcoming all-rounder Mohammad Imran has admitted that he is a big fan of Indian swashbuckling all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

Imran, who has done pretty well for Southern Punjab in the ongoing edition of Pakistan’s premier First-Class tournament- Qaid-e-Azam Trophy, having racked up 124 runs in three matches at an average of 41.33, which also includes a century, has said that he has been following the Indian superstar with great interest.

Hardik Pandya has been in brilliant form with the bat in the ongoing tour of Australia. The Baroda batsman showed great maturity with the bat throughout the three-match One-day International series, registering scores of 90, 28, and 92 not-out.

His 92 not-out came during an eventual match-winning partnership with fellow all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, in which the duo accumulated 150 runs for the sixth wicket to lift India from a precarious position of 5/152 to a match-winning 5/302.

Pandya has been forced to play as a pure batsman due to his back issues but given the circumstances that Team India found itself in during the second ODI, the all-rounder came to bowl and picked up a wicket in his four-over spell.

Mohammad Imran revealed the one thing he loves about Hardik Pandya is his courage and the manner in which he has established himself as one of India’s specialist batters in the midst of his injury that has prevented him from bowling. Imran also hailed Pandya as one of the hardest hitters of a cricket ball.

”Hardik Pandya is an all-rounder that I am following with great interest and I must say I am a great fan of his. The one quality that excites me about Pandya is his courage and whilst injury has prevented him from bowling, I have yet to see another batsman who can hit the ball as hard as he can and that makes him such an important part of the Indian side,” Mohammad Imran told PakPassion.net.
