MS Dhoni made a big name for himself by making the country proud with his achievements after coming from the cricketing backwaters of Ranchi. He has achieved immense success as a player and also grew up to be one of the most successful captains and achieved almost everything the ICC tournaments had to offer. At a time when speculations about MS Dhoni’s future is rife, India’s World Cup winning coach Gary Kirsten has suggested that he has the right to leave the game on his own terms. It was under Kirsten’s watchful eyes that India lifted the 2011 World Cup trophy and he knows the kind of player MS Dhoni is.

Kirsten said Dhoni is an incredible cricketer besides being intelligent, calm and fit. The South African also mentioned these are the qualities which separates him from other cricketers.

“MS Dhoni is an incredible cricketer. Intelligence, calmness, power, athleticism, speech and a match-winner separate him from others and puts him amongst the greatest sportsmen in the modern era,” Gary Kirsten told the Times of India.

“He has earned the right to leave the game on his own terms and no one should dictate to him when that time is,” he added.

A veteran of 350 ODIs, Dhoni has scored of 15000 runs in international cricket, and has been one of the most successful captain.
