MS Dhoni was bidding to make a comeback for the national team banking on his performance in the IPL 2020. But due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, the lucrative tournament might stand cancelled, making the comeback difficult for MS Dhoni. Members from the cricket fraternity have voiced their opinion about the future of MS Dhoni, with former India cricketer-turner-expert Aakash Chopra latest to join the bandwagon.
MS Dhoni made a head-start for IPL. He started training early, and it was an unnatural side, given he never prepares for the lucrative tournament so well in advance. His preparation was a hit that he will look to go full throttle in the tournament and to make the most of it. With speculations about MS Dhoni future rife, Aakash Chopra revealed his view about the future of former India captain in an interaction session with Ramiz Raja on YouTube.

MS Dhoni has a calm and composed demeanor. It is hard to process what is going on in his head. Moreover, Dhoni has not discussed about his future, to anyone. Amid all this, Chopra believes, Dhoni has decided to hang up his boots. He also feels, unless Sourav Ganguly or Virat Kohli personally requests him to continue, Dhoni will not change his mind.
“Dekhiye, sabse badi jo rahi hai na ki Dhoni ne kisiko kuch bataya nahi hai abhi tak. Hum sabne maan liya hai ki woh shayad abhi bhi aasakte hain, IPL acha raha toh aa jayengey wapis. Lekin mujhe lagta hai ki unhone mann bana liya hai. Ab woh khelne wale nahi hai India ke liye dobara. Unless, Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli or Ravi Shastri phone uthaye aur kahe ke ki “partner, please yeh World Cup nikal lo humare liye, tab koi chance hai. Varna I don’t think he will play. He doesn’t need any grand farewell. Woh chupke se aaye the aur waise hi chale jayengey,” Aakash chopra said.
A veteran of 350 ODIs, MS Dhoni scored 10773 runs at an average of 50.57. He has the high score of an unbeaten 183 and has hit 10 centuries in this format.
