While the cricketing fraternity is busy speculating about the future of MS Dhoni, MSK Prasad has confirmed that the veteran cricketer has not talked about retirement with the selectors. There is absolutely no clarity over what the future holds for the former India skipper. But the chief of selection panel has made it clear that the wicketkeeper-batsman is unlikely to hang his boots in the near future.

The World Cup-winning skipper has not played a competitive game since the end of the World Cup in July. As soon as the tournament ended, MS Dhoni took a sabbatical. Consequently, he missed the tour of West Indies. It was expected that he would return to action once the home series starts. However, Dhoni decided against it as he made himself unavailable for selection.

MSK Prasad then made a huge statement by saying that the selectors are moving on from MS Dhoni and thus haven’t picked him in the team after the World Cup. The statement did make many assume that Dhoni’s days in the national team are over.
