Mumbai Indians Wins IPL At The Auction Table: Aakash Chopra

Mumbai Indians have a far-sighted approach which has helped them earn plenty of success over the years. The auction plays and important part to decide the future of a franchise and Mumbai Indians have done well to pick up a formidable squad with their planning on most occasions.

The most successful franchise in the IPL, Mumbai Indians have clinched the title four times. It has also been bolstered with some of the finest players in the line-up, including the core group. Commentator Aakash Chopra believes that their planning has been absolutely top notch which has helped them succeed.

Chopra was of the opinion that Mumbai Indians are the only team to win half-of the IPL at the auction table due to their proper planning. He also said that they have a backup for every other player, adding that when such good players have been collected then even if their is injury or drop in form the team in sorted.

“Their planning is absolutely top-class. This is the only team which wins half of the IPL at the auction table. They make such a good team there, they have backup for every position,” Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

“When you collect such good players, then even if there are some injuries or lack of form, they are pretty much sorted. That’s been the hallmark of their success. They follow the philosophy of good selection.”

Mumbai Indians will put their title on defense in IPL 2020. The side has won the lucrative tournament in the year — 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 — under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.

The IPL 2020 will take place in UAE from September to November due to the novel coronavirus pandemic situation.
