The ‘Hydroman’, who is an Indian dancer, has created a name for himself by dancing underwater and on this occasion, he wore the Mumbai Indians’ brand-new jersey, doing the same. The outfit features shades of blue and gold, which has come a long way from the ones in the inaugural edition. They donned the light blue one for the first two seasons and languished at the bottom of the table.

The management overhauled the colour of the same by inflicting darker shades of blue, being the dominant and primary colour. The amendment in the jersey turned their fortunes around as well, becoming the most successful franchise of the lot. Mumbai Indians bagged the first title in 2013 and lifted three more in 2015, 2017, and 2019.

Rohit Sharma’s astute captaincy along with the likes of Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Lasith Malinga, and Jasprit Bumrah have been the cornerstone of their success. The four-time champions began their training on Saturday in the UAE after completing their mandatory quarantine period. While the schedule is yet to be announced by the BCCI, it seems likely that Mumbai Indians will meet Chennai Super Kings for the inaugural clash on the 19th of September.
