West Indian all-rounder Fabian Allen was fortunate enough to find bids at the IPL 2021 auction, having played enough cricket recently. Fabian Allen has played a handful of limited overs games for the West Indies and showed promise; however, is far from a finished product. The Jamaican boasts of a strike rate of 159.21 in 32 T20Is, implicating that he could be an impactful player on his day. Nevertheless, he could not do so in the 2020 edition of the Caribbean Premier League.

It is worth noting that Fabian Allen was also a part of the SunRisers Hyderabad in 2020 edition of IPL. Unfortunately, the 25-year old could not get a game for the Orange Army. Allen earned bids from the Punjab Kings, who bought him at a base price of INR 75 lakhs. It was indeed a steal from the Punjab-based franchise, who accumulated a good number of players in the IPL 2021 auction, including Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith, and other promising domestic players.
