IPL 2021 Auction: Kolkata Knight Riders' Complete Squad After The Auction

Updated - 08 Nov 2023, 01:04 PM

Kolkata Knight Riders stayed in the middle of the points table as their campaign went through plenty of inconsistencies. The highlight of Kolkata Knight Riders’ roller-coaster 2020 campaign was the change in captaincy the franchise triggered amid the tournament. Eoin Morgan, who took over from Dinesh Karthik, impressed for the most part; however, it was not enough to lift them to the knockouts stage.

The two-time champions finished fifth in the table. Ahead of the IPL 2021 auction, the Knight Riders decided to release Tom Banton, Chris Green, Nikhil Naik, Siddharth M and Siddhesh Lad – all of whom had only received minimal chances during the 2020 edition. Kolkata also decided to stick with Eoin Morgan as their captain for the 14th season as the World Cup-winning captain will eye adding another feather to his cap.
