Young fast bowling sensation from South Africa, Lungi Ngidi will have his parents in the stands when he steps into the field second time for South Africa. The second Test will start today at Johannesburg.
21-year-old Ngidi grabbed eyeballs when he bagged 7 for 90 in his debut match against India at Centurion.
His 6-39 in the second innings enabled the Proteas to win by 135 runs and wrap up the three-Test series with a match to play.
Ngidi comes from a humble background, growing up in KwaZulu-Natal. He plays his domestic cricket for the Centurion-based Titans.
Ngidi’s parents, who are travelling to Johannesburg for the first time will be present at the stadium to support their son.
Ngidi took to Twitter to express his delight at having his parents join him in Johannesburg.

“Look who arrived to watch the final test match, 1st time in a hotel, 1st time in joburg. Parents showing support. #NgidiFamily,” Ngidi wrote on Twitter along with a group picture.
Ngidi broke into the national side after Dale Steyn sustained an injury while bowling in the first innings of the first Test. He will be sharing the new ball along with Kagiso Rabada, Morne Morkel, and Vernon Philander.
