Of late, it has become the common scenario that the wags of the cricketers cheering from the stands. The most prominent personalities in that list are Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka, Rohit’s Ritika and MS Dhoni’s Sakshi.

In the recently-concluded limited overs series, we came across Anushka Sharma leading the troop by cheering them from the dugouts. Then comes Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika, on whom the camera automatically shifts when Rohit knocks a big tally.

The other most commonly sighted family in the Indian dugout is MS Dhoni’s Sakshi and Ziva Singh. However, fans too enjoyed it as social media was awestruck by the relationship goals of Indian cricketers.

No meeting with the families in the camp till 3rd Test: Team management

Meanwhile, the team management doesn’t want it to be happening in Test cricket. Especially, with the opposition being the strongest and at their favourable condition, the Indian team management asked players to stay away from their spouses or girlfriends or relatives.

As per the reports of The Mumbai Mirror the players are restricted to meet their families during the camp till the conclusion of Third Test which is to be played at Nottingham on August 18th to 22nd.

“We’ve had four days of rest before settling down for the serious task ahead. The players had moved out with spouses, friends and relatives and tomorrow (Monday) we will leave for Chelmsford,” a team source told Mirror.

The report furtherly quoted that the unwinding process has been done and the team is set to travel to Chelmsford for a 4-day practice game. This would be the first red-ball game for Virat Kohli after missing out playing against Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah who is yet to recover completely from his finger injury is ruled out from the first test. However, he is available to bowl in the net sessions. “He had a finger injury and we’re hoping he will recover for the second Test. Meanwhile, he is fit to bowl in the nets,” the source added.
