NZ vs PAK 2018: Twitter Reacts As New Zealand Take 1-0 Lead in the T20 Series

New Zealand took a 1-0 lead in the three match T20 series after winning the first match at the Westpac stadium in Wellington. New Zealand won the toss and chose to field first and the Kiwi bowlers took full advantage of the conditions reducing Pakistan to 38/6 in the 10th over. With this win, in their last 12 international matches, winning 11 out of them and one match being washed out.

Only two Pakistani batsmen were able to touch double figures with Babar Azam who has been struggling with form top scored with 41 and Hasan Ali scored 23 in 12 balls.

Hosts New Zealand achieved the total in 15.5 overs. However, the Pakistani bowlers made early inroads restricting the hosts at 8/2 but Colin Munro and Tom Bruce steadied the innings and put up a 49 runs partnership. Munro was unbeaten at 49 while Ross Taylor remained unbeaten on 22.

For Pakistan, Rumman Raees picked up two wickets while Shadab  Khan removed Bruce. Colin Munro was adjudged the man of the match.
