Pakistan’s skipper Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and decided to bat first in the second Test match against Australia. However, Pakistan got off to a worse start as they lost five wickets in the opening session. Nathan Lyon was the star of the show as the off-spinner scalped four wickets to put Pakistan on the backfoot.

Mitchell Starc gave a perfect start to his team as sent back first match centurion Mohammad Hafeez in the third over of the day. Meanwhile, Pakistan debutant Fakhar Zaman and Azhar Ali were able to put an alliance of 52 runs.

However, what followed was just Nathan Lyon’s show. Lyon roared like a Lion to eat up four Pakistan batsmen. Thus, the hosts found their backs against the wall as they are reeling at 111-5.

Lyon got the ball in the right areas to breathe down the neck of the host’s batsmen. In fact, Harris Sohail, Babar Azam, and Asad Shafiq were dismissed without troubling the scorers.

Nathan Lyon did the damage in his last two overs before Lunch was taken. The Australian off-spinner didn’t concede any run off his bowling and scalped four wickets in just six balls. Thus, he was right on the money with his off-spinners.

Australia was able to dodge defeat in the first Test match at Dubai and now holds the advantage in the second Test match. Fakhar Zaman is batting unbeaten on 56 with Sarfraz Ahmed accompanying him on 35 runs.
