Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) former chief selector, Wasim Bari has hailed Indian Cricket team skipper Virat Kohli for his proactive approach in the contemporary cricket.
Meanwhile, Kohli has decided to skip the historic Afghanistan Test. Instead, he has decided to play for Surrey in the 2018 County Championship to prepare for the upcoming England tour.
Moreover, Kohli had a horrific time during his last visit to England. He scored 134 runs from five Tests with the highest score of 34. It will be an acid test for him and he will be desperate to score runs in English conditions.
Kohli and his men will play five-match Test series against Joe Root-led England. However, prior to that, they will lock horns in three One-day Internationals and as many Twenty20 Internationals.
The Indian team will have their task cut out against a decent England bowling. As many as eight Indian cricketers are likely to travel with India A squad – to accustom to the conditions.

India A plays a tri-series involving England Lions and Windies A followed by an unofficial Test against England Lions.
Bari lauds Kohli’s approach:

Moreover, former Pakistan cricketer Bari talked highly of the Indian skipper while lamenting at Pakistani side’s inexperience. He admitted that inexperience could prove to be the major drawback in the ongoing tour of Pakistan.
Bari appreciated Kohli’s decision of playing county cricket ahead of India’s Test series later this year in England.
“Indian captain Virat Kohli has been smart as he’s decided to play for Surrey in June to get acclimatized ahead of his team’s tour in the second part of the season,” Bari told Dawn.com.
Bari also feels that only Test will not give enough time to the Pakistani cricketers to acclimatize.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli will play three matches for Surrey in the month of June.
