Pakistan and Windies are slated to play a full series in 2021 as a part of the Future Tour Programme (FTP).

As per the new Future Tours Programme, New Zealand, South Africa and Pakistan are slated to tour the Caribbean in the next two years.

While the Kiwis and the Proteas will visit the Caribbean in 2020, Pakistan will travel the US to face Windies in 2021.

“One T20 and three Tests between Pakistan and West Indies will take place in July 2021 in West Indies while two T20 matches will also take place in Florida, the United States,” reports in the Geo News stated.

Windies will also tour the United Arab Emirates in 2021 to play T20 and One-Day international matches. However, Pakistan recently played Windies and thrashed them 5-0 in the ODI series.

Pakistan had got the better of Windies on more occasions than not in the recent past. However, Windies have improved quite significantly in the longest format and recently defeated Pakistan. Meanwhile, as per the New Future Tour Programme, there will be a new Test championship which will be involving the top eight teams in the Latest ICC Test Rankings. A new ODI championship will also be introduced.

Windies has opted to play some of their home matches in Lauderhill

Meanwhile, the team from the Caribbean has opted to play some of their home matches in Lauderhill in the United States of America to promote the game in the country. It is a great move by ICC as well, as to promote the sport outside the countries which are in the game for a long time.

Some of the new systems introduced by the ICC from 2019 will be pretty interesting. All the fans will be looking forward to the new Test championship and the new rule of playing an equal number of home and away Tests against all the top eight Test playing nations. It will give equal opportunities to all the teams to make inroads in their home conditions and vice-versa.
