India women’s new leg-spin sensation, Poonam Yadav has revealed which IPL club she would like to play for if women’s IPL takes place. Like the million cricket fans in the country, Poonam also awaits the inception of the IPL 2020 which has been postponed by the BCCI from March 29 to April 15.
Poonam enjoys a huge fan following and has achieved numerous laurels for the country at the highest level. She recently earned a lot of applause for her performance in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup as she emerged as a rising star.
Although India could not win the tournament, the team has surely gained a couple of match-winners in Poonam Yadav and Shafali Verma.

Talking about the IPL team she fancies, Poonam Yadav revealed she wants to play for Chennai Super Kings if given a chance in the women’s Indian Premier League.
“Given a chance, would love to roll my arm over for @ChennaiIPL,” Poonam said in a tweet replying to a question where she was asked which team she would want to turn up for in the IPL.

Starting her Women’s T20 World Cup campaign with a four-wicket haul against Australia, the 28-year-old scalped 10 wickets in the competition, finishing as the second-highest wicket-taker behind Megan Schutt.
Sunil Gavaskar Proposed The Idea Of Women’s IPL
Former Indian batting legend, Sunil Gavaskar has made an interesting appeal to BCCI and Sourav Ganguly for further growth of women’s cricket in the country. Gavaskar has also praised the board for achieving great results in women’s cricket so far.
Gavaskar has requested the BCCI and Ganguly —to conduct Women’s IPL in a bid to boost it. The Indian Premier League (IPL) has produced some fantastic players in men’s cricket not only in India but in other countries as well.
