Rishbah Pant, however, continues to be backed by senior India members like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. They think the Delhi batsman has come under sever scrutiny very early in his career and should be given some breathing space.
Yuvraj Singh feels youngsters like Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant are immensely talented but they need a psychologist to guide them better during scrutiny. He also said in the current national team there is no one to talk on the mental front of players and that is why someone in that role is required.
“In this team, there is no one to talk to about the mental front of players. Guys like Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant are so talented. But now with so much scrutiny and media around, you need somebody to talk to,” Yuvraj said on a Youtube show. “The team needs a good psychologist. But he has to be respected,” said the 38-year-old.
