West Indies all-rounder Rahkeem Cornwall is gradually growing through the ranks as he has featured in only three Tests thus far. Cornwall is fondly known as jimbo in his native land and while his height and build comes as a surprise to many, it is a regular feature in his hometown.

Cornwall is currently featuring for St. Lucia Zouks in the CPL 2020, which is being played entirely at Trinidad & Tobago. It is his first T20 league and he further wants to impress IPL franchises so that he can play in the lucrative tournament in the near future. Apart from IPL, Corwall is also contended to feature in other major leagues across the globe.

“Well, that’s my aim. CPL is just a kickstart, I think I have to continue putting in performances to make sure other franchises look in my direction and I just have to make sure I am ready when that opportunity comes,” Cornwall said when asked if he is looking forward to the opportunity of playing in the IPL.

Cornwall, however, has not been as impressive in the initial few CPL 2020 outings. He has got out for partly scores in the previous matches and has also failed to be among the wickets.

Meanwhile, in the three Tests for the West Indies, Cornwall has scored at an average nearly seven and picked up 13 wickets to his name.

Meanwhile, after VIVO pulled out as the sponsors for IPL, Dream 11 bagged the deal for Rs.220 crore for four months. IPL will get underway from September 19 with the final being played on November 10. However, the final fixture for the lucrative tournament is still to be announced, with Mumbai Indians set to put their title on defense.
