Rahul Dravid To Be Part Of Covid-19 Task Force At NCA

Rahul Dravid has wore many hats for the Indian cricket team and even after retirement continues his association. Now, in a first, Rahul Dravid will be a part of the Covid-19 task force at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The cricket board has decided to form a task force as a part of resumption of the sport.

According to media reports, the Task Force will guide and monitor all trainees and staff within the centre. As per the SOP issued by the Board, NCA cricket director, Rahul Dravid will be part of it. The other members would be a medical officer, a hygiene officer and BCCI AGM, Cricket Operations.

Amid all the job the task force will have in their hands, it will also be their duty to monitor the players closely. “It is advised that CCTV cameras are operational throughout the centre.”

“The training which can be effectively performed other than on field of play and other common training facilities. Staggered training to minimize numbers and reduce contact,” the SOP stated.

Dravid has worked closely with young cricketers in his coaching career and relates a few things to them. National Cricket Academy (NCA) head Rahul Dravid has helped mould the India U-19 cricketers and India A players during his coaching stint and spoke about the insecurities players have at a young age.

Dravid retired with over 13000 Test runs, 10889 runs in ODIs, and one of the finest cricketers to have graced the game. Now when he must look back, Dravid might not have any regrets on picking up cricket over books.
