Vidharbha fast bowler, Rajneesh Gurbani wants to learn new things from Rahul Dravid. The pacer is currently on India A tour of England.

Thus, Gurbani wants to learn as much as possible from his India A head coach, Rahul Dravid.

Gurbani had scalped 39 wickets in the Ranji Trophy season of 2017-18. Thus, he was able to get his maiden call to India A squad for the tour of England.

India A will play two four day matches from July 16 in England. Thus, it would be a perfect opportunity for the Vidharbha pacer to prove his mettle. However, Gurbani said Dravid hasn’t yet seen him bowl. Meanwhile, Gurbani will look to impress the Wall with his control.

“I am excited and eagerly waiting to learn new things from him (Dravid). He has not seen me, so I will try to get as much knowledge from him as possible,” Gurbani told PTI.

Gurbani said he has a dream of representing India at the International level. The right-hander went on to add he will leave a mark if he can perform well for India A side.

“My dream is to play for India and this is a step ahead, one step before the international level. I know if I do good, maybe I will be in the eyes of selectors and I can prove myself. But at present, I am not thinking about it because that is my ultimate goal.”

Gurbani also gave his gratitude to the selectors for putting their weight behind him. Thus, Rajneesh wants to stand tall to the expectations of the Indian selectors.

“I am grateful to the selectors who had trusted me and selected me for the (India A) squad. I just want to fulfil their (selectors) expectations in England,” the 25-year-old Gurbani said.

The fast bowler went on to add he will like to contribute to the team’s success. The pacer said he wants to take one game at a time.

“My expectations from this (UK) tour is that I want my team to win. It’s a three-match series and hopefully, I can contribute to the best of my abilities. But I’ll approach one match at a time. Whichever match I get to play I will think it as biggest match of my career.”

It would be a perfect opportunity for Rajneesh Gurbani to play under the tutelage of Rahul Dravid. The former India skipper is instrumental in polishing the young talent, and Gurbani will hope to blossom like a flower under the guidelines of the Wall.
