Rashid Khan is Missing His Two Year Old Niece Pretty Badly and His Instagram Post Proves It

There is hardly any doubt about the fact that Rashid Khan, the 19-year-old spinner from Afghanistan is the best in the lot especially when it comes to the shortest format. He has made star batsmen dance to his tunes and it was quite evident during the Indian Premier League. Playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rashid bagged 21 wickets to finish as the joint leading wicket-taker of Hyderabad alongside Siddharth Kaul.

Not only with the ball but Rashid has also proved himself with the bat. He was at his stupendous best during the T20I series against Bangladesh. He bagged 8 wickets in the series and was instrumental in helping Afghanistan register a clean sweep of Bangladesh. However, he will be tested quite often when Afghanistan faces India in their debut Test from today.

He will surely look to come out all guns blazing against the No 1 side in the world. It will be a historic moment for Rashid and the whole country when two teams walk out to take the field tomorrow. After getting their Test status last year, Afghanistan will finally realize their dream of playing Test cricket. Rashid who has been quite busy in the recent past has been missing his family.

The leggie took to his Instagram handle and put a story. He was missing his two-year-old niece especially due to the packed cricketing calendar in recent times. Following their T20I series against Bangladesh in Dehradun, Afghanistan has moved to Bengaluru for the only Test. Afghanistan has a different variety of spinners in their rank and will be looking to pose a threat or two to the Indians.

During a recent interview when Rashid Khan was asked about his relationship status he revealed that he was still single and was focusing on the game. “I am not engaged yet. I am still single so far,” he said as per reports from Times of India.

“My family is very supportive. I talk to them daily through social media. At least they are watching me and enjoying my game. This is just my initial stage. I need to focus on my cricket right now,” said the leg-spinner. He further revealed that he mingles with her niece whenever he is stressed out. “When I am very stressed, I call my two-year-old niece. I just love talking to her.”
