Afghanistan cricket team has grown as unit since being an associate nation and cricketers like Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi have been the flag bearers of the side. Rashid Khan proved his spin bowling prowess in franchise leagues around the world and has emerged as of the finest spinners on the international cricket.

After a brief hiatus due to novel coronavirus pandemic, Rashid Khan along with the Afghanistan team has returned to training. Their initial training has been in groups as the team in ensuring safety amid the pandemic situation.

Rashid Khan is all of 21 now and his big dreams with his national team. The leg-spinner wants to win the World Cup for his nation. He also said that he will get engaged and then married once Afghanistan lifts the World Cup.

“I will get engaged & married once Afghanistan win the cricket world,” Rashid Khan said in an interview to Azadi Radio. 

The experiences of playing franchise leagues around the world has helped Rashid Khan grow his stature. He is one of the finest spinners in the limited-overs format and has often deceived batsmen with his leg spin. Besides that, the all-rounder has also proved out to be handy with the bat and often played quick fire knocks.

Rashid has an experience of playing 211 T20s where he has picked up 296 wickets. As far as his national team is concerned, he has 23 wickets in Test, 133 in ODIs and 89 in the shortest format of the game.
