Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) clashed with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their return IPL 2022 match which was played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium and it saw a cute engagement proposal between two RCB fans.

RCB came into this match with 5 losses and 5 wins in 10 matches, while CSK had 3 wins in 9 matches and both hoped to win this match to stay in contention for playoffs. CSK cannot afford another loss in their next five matches, which will effectively put them out of the playoffs race, while RCB needs atleast 3 wins from the next 5 matches to have a chance at qualification.

Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni won the toss and chose to bowl first. Moeen Ali was included in the XI in place of Mitchell Santner while Royal Challengers Bangalore came in unchanged.

RCB inning was the story of contributions from Mahipal Lomror (42 with 3 fours and 2 sixes), Faf du Plessis (38 in 22 balls), and Dinesh Karthik (26* in 17 balls) as they posted 173/8 in 20 overs. Maheesh Theekshana with 3/27 was the best bowler for the Chennai franchise.

During the match, something sweet and positive was seen as in the 11^th over, the cameraperson in the MCA Stadium caught an engagement proposal between two Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fans.

A girl proposed to a boy by going down on her knee and putting a ring on the boy’s finger, who said yes and both hugged afterward. Both were donning the new design RCB jersey and the moment was cheered by the crowd around them.
