India all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh, was dropped from the central contract list announced by the board.

Since he is not in the recking at the moment, the board decided to drop the name of the all-rounder He last played for India in July last year against the Windies.

Since then, he had missed out on selection due to various reasons.

First, he failed to clear the yo-yo test on certain occasions, which ruled him out of the squad. Once he cleared the test, he did not have the numbers to show.

Yuvraj missed Ranji Trophy matches to work solely on fitness and clear the test.

He could not do well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy and also did not get a place in any of the Deodhar Trophy squads.

Should Yuvraj play for India this year, he will get paid, as per Grade C.

Last year, Yuvraj was in the Grade C after he made his comeback to the national side.

Yuvraj went onto play the ICC Champions Trophy as well but during the series against the Windies, his form dipped, and injury ruled him out as well.

During the announcement of the squad for Sri Lanka tour, selectors said Yuvraj was rested and not dropped.

Though it later turned out to be something else, as the squad totally got reshuffled and a total of seven changes were made to it.

The upcoming season of IPL will be crucial for Yuvraj, as if he does well in the coming season, he can always make a comeback to the national team.

With Indian team in desperate need of an experienced batsman, the doors are always open for Yuvraj and Suresh Raina.

Recently, Raina also made his fast-tracked comeback in the national side by just a couple of good knocks. Same can be the case with Yuvraj Singh, as he has experience behind his back which will always come handy.

Team India is currently facing a shortage of an experienced batsman at number four in the middle-order, and Yuvraj can always be an answer to it.
