Record-Breaker Amelia Kerr Moves Up in Latest ICC ODI Women's Rankings

There were some significant movements in the Latest ICC rankings for women cricketers.
Amelia Kerr, Dane van Niekerk, Lizelle Lee and Tammy Beaumont all have made significant strides in the Latest MRF Tyres ICC Women’s ODI rankings. Kerr was expected to make giant strides in the Latest ICC rankings after she broke the record for the highest individual score in Women’s ODI’s. She smashed a sensational knock of 232 against the Irish Women on Wednesday, 13th June.
Courtesy her effort, Kerr jumped 38 places in the rankings for batswomen. She now sits at the 42nd position with 365 rating points.
Meanwhile, skipper of New Zealand, Suzie Bates was removed from the 2nd spot. South African opener Lizelle Lee replaced her. She moved from the 7th spot to the 2nd position. Bates scored an unbeaten 90 in the first of the three ODI’s against the English Women. She followed it up with a stunning knock of an unbeaten 117 in Hove.

Meanwhile, English batswoman also made giant strides courtesy back to back centuries against the Proteas in Hove and Canterbury. It was her efforts which helped England seal the series.
She had jumped three places to a career highest 10th position. The South African skipper Dane Van Niekerk moved eight places to the 13th position which is her career best.
It was possible due to two half-centuries in the three-match series against England. It also included a stunning 95 in the final ODI.

Kerr also gained in bowlers and all-rounders list
Kerr who scored a magnificent 232 was also a gainer in the bowler’s ranking. She bagged figures of 5/17 against the Irish in the same match.
She moved up to the 23rd spot. The all-rounder made strides in the all-rounder rankings as well. She climbed up to the 14th spot which included a jump of 45 places.
Meanwhile, Proteas bowler Shabnim Ismail also gained three places to climb to the 3rd position in the latest ICC Rankings. Meanwhile, Ellyse Perry continued to maintain her numero uno position with 744 points.
She also tops the all-rounder’s rankings. She is also the 10th ranked bowler in the world and is the only player among top ten across all three categories.
