What a game it was for the Indian National Cricket Team in Visakhapatnam? All the players delivered the goods when it mattered the most to level the three-match ODI series after losing a game in Chennai. The incredible centuries from Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul followed by a fine bowling spell from Kuldeep Yadav helped India seal a comfortable win in the second ODI of the series.
It all started with Kieron Pollard winning the toss and asking India to bat first. It turned out to be a bad decision for West Indies, as Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul blazed their way in the middle to smash scintillating centuries for the team. The duo added 227 runs for the first wicket to help India get a fine start.
Just after scoring a century, KL Rahul was dismissed when he tried to go after Alzarri Joseph. He was quickly followed by Virat Kohli, who registered a golden duck. However, Rohit Sharma continued his glorious form in the middle by fetching a few quick runs for the team in the death overs.

He went for everything in the death overs against the West Indies bowlers before being dismissed on 159 to his name. Despite Rohit Sharma failing to get one more double century under his belt, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant gave a stunning finish to the innings to help India register 387 runs on the board.
Kuldeep Yadav picks a hat-trick:
In reply to the chase, Shai Hope and Evin Lewis started well for the team. However, Shardul Thakur dismissed Evin Lewis to give India an important breakthrough. He was followed by Shimron Hetmyer when Shreyas Iyer showed a piece of brilliance on the field.

Just when things looked in control for India, Nicholas Pooran and Shai Hope started to threat India with their big-hitting in the middle overs. However, Mohammed Shami delivered the goods in the middle, which was followed by the hat-trick of Kuldeep Yadav. In the end, KA Paul and Khary Pierre entertained the crowd, but it was never enough for the team.
Here are a few tweets:
Just loved the way Shami bowled his second spell to get rid of Pooran and Pollard and then the sensational over from Kuldeep to pick his second #hatrick in ODIs. #INDvsWI @StarSportsIndia

Congratulation Rohit Sharma @ImRo45 on becoming the leading run-scorer in ODIs this year with your 28th hundred. Also for becoming the first ODI centurion to score hundreds against 7 different countries in a year. We are proud of you. #INDvsWI #hitman

The cushion of 387 will ensure India will win. But fielding and dropped catches remain a major concern. Can’t keep dropping regulation catches.

India have dropped 13 catches since the first #IndvWI T20i at Hyderabad. Something this team won’t take lightly…need improvement. Expect improvement.
