Rohit Sharma Has Done A Great Job As India Captain: Wasim Akram

Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has praised Indian skipper Rohit Sharma for his excellent leadership quality in the ongoing Asia Cup 2018.

However, Rohit Sharma has made up his 19th century in ODIs and lead India to a 9-wicket win over Pakistan in the Super Four. Rohit is currently named as the captain after Virat Kohli was rested for the Asia Cup. Rohit Sharma has led his team to the final in the Asia Cup 2018 after winning all the matches.

Moreover, Rohit Sharma has lead India in 16 limited-overs matches. He got success in 14 of those 16 games. Sharma has led India to win in the Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka earlier this year.

Furthermore, the opening pair of India, Rohit Sharma, and Shikhar Dhawan are one of the most successful opening pairs. They proved themselves after winning the match against Pakistan on Sunday. The duo made a 210 runs partnership and helped India to win over Pakistan by nine wickets.

Moreover, Wasim Akram appreciated Sharma for his consistency.

He scored two half-centuries and a hundred out of four matches that he has played. However, Akram also added that Shikhar is also going well with his partner and scoring runs for India. The partners are doing extremely well and making everything in the right way when they are playing on the crease.

“I think Rohit Sharma has done a great job as India skipper. He is leading from the front, he’s getting runs consistently and with ease. With him, Shikhar Dhawan is playing equally good. They are making things look so comfortable when they come out to bat. They look so calm and I think they have got every shot in their book,” Wasim Akram told India Today.

Rohit Sharma and Co. will play against Afghanistan on September 25 (Tuesday) and will keen to win the match with ease.
