Rohit Sharma Reveals He Couldn't Completely Recover From His Injury Due To The COVID-19 Lockdown

Star Indian opener Rohit Sharma stated that he couldn’t completely recover from his injury when the nationwide lockdown took place. Rohit sustained a calf injury in the final T20I of the India-New Zealand T20 series and thus was ruled out from the ODI and Test series.
For the same, he had been recovering at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. However, due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus outbreak in India, the Government of India imposed a 21-day nationwide lockdown from March 25. However, the lockdown was further extended until May 3 on April 14.
Now, Rohit Sharma has revealed that his recovery couldn’t finish at the NCA and he has returned to his hometown and is still on the road to recovery during isolation.
Rohit Sharma Hasn’t Completely Recovered From The Calf Injury
Speaking to Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodriguez on a Youtube chat show, Rohit said, “I am doing nothing special to ensure my fitness. I usually do small household chores and spend a lot of time with my daughter. The NCA has provided me with a fitness program and I try to follow it as much as possible. “
“Before the lockdown, I was injured and my rehabilitation was going on at the NCA in Bengaluru and all of a sudden the lockdown took place. I wasn’t completely fit at that moment, the last segment of my rehab was still left so I am ensuring to finish it at home as I have a lot of time to recover now,” Rohit added.

However, the Mumbaikar has been a bit unlucky when it comes to winning ODI World Cups as he has not won the 50-over World Cup for India so far. However, he was the part of India’s 2007 T20 World Cup-winning squad. India’s recent failure in the World Cup came last year when the Men in Blue were knocked out by New Zealand in the semi-final.
