Rohit Sharma Picks Mumbai Indians' Biggest Match Winner Of The Last Decade

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma has picked the biggest match-winner for the franchise in the last decade. Rohit Sharma picked Lasith Malinga as the top match-winner for the four-time champions. Malinga bid adieu to the One Day International format and he was able to end his career on a high as he returned with the figures of 3-28 against Bangladesh in the first ODI at R. Premadasa.

Thus, it was a befitting farewell to the yorker king and he was able to end his career with a win. Malinga had come up with a brilliant first spell as he took two wickets to put Bangladesh on the backfoot. Sri Lanka was able to cruise to a convincing win of 91 runs and it was great for Malinga to sign off on a high.

Malinga has done a great job for Mumbai Indians.

Malinga finished with 338 wickets from 226 One Day Internationals to end his career as the ninth highest wicket-taker. Furthermore, he is Sri Lanka’s third-highest wicket-taker after Muttiah Muralitharan and Chaminda Vaas.

Meanwhile, Lasith Malinga has savoured great success for Mumbai Indians and he would continue to play in the shortest formats of the game. Malinga is the leading wicket-taker in the IPL as he has taken 170 wickets in 122 matches for Mumbai Indians.

Furthermore, Malinga had won fourth IPL title for Mumbai Indians when he was able to plumb Shardul Thakur in front of the wickets. Chennai Super Kings needed two runs from the final ball and Malinga was able to get his yorker on the money.
