Rohit Sharma Reveals His Favourite Batsman Of This Generation
India star Rohit Sharma, on Saturday, said South Africa star AB de Villliers is the player he likes to see among the current players.
Rohit Sharma has been lucky enough to play with some of the best players in the history of the game. He shared the dressing room with the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, MS Dhoni, Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli and several others. However, it looks like none of them has fascinated him like AB de Villiers.
The India star revealed his choice on Twitter when a fan asked him:
???Whom are your favorite players you delight to watch? Current generation? @ImRo45???

In reply, Rohit replied:
De Villiers retired from international cricket earlier this year. He will go down as one of the finest ever batsmen in the history of the game. No matter what the format was or what the conditions were, he rarely failed. If his traditional stroke-play made the traditionalists drool then his scarcely-believable wide array of unorthodox shots left this generation gasping for breath,
He scored a staggering 20,014 international runs (8765 in Tests, 9577 in ODIs and 1672 in T20Is). He also finished his career with a batting average over 50 in both Tests, and ODIs.
The right-hander also holds the record for the fastest 50, fastest 100 and fastest 150 in ODIs, all coming against the Windies. He smashed a 31-ball 100 in Johannesburg in 2015 and hit a 66-ball 162 in the 2015 World Cup encounter in Sydney.
Meanwhile, Rohit would next be seen in the upcoming Asia Cup. He will lead the side in the event as Virat Kohli has been rested for the competition. The tournament will get underway on September 15 in United Arabia Emirates.
