Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina, on Tuesday, joined hands to pick a combined Mumbai Indians-Chennai Super Kings XI. If not for the pandemic, both Rohit Sharma and Raina would have been busy playing the IPL. IPL 2020 was scheduled to start on March 29 with a bumper clash between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.

However, the BCCI has suspended the league indefinitely in the light of the pandemic. And with no action going on at the moment, a number of cricketers have been doing live sessions on Instagram to keep themselves busy during the lull period.

And on Tuesday, Raina and Rohit Sharma decided to hold a live session on Instagram. Both the players had done live sessions previously too. Now coming to the combined XI, both the players picked a star-studded team. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are the most successful teams in the history of the league. While Mumbai Indians have won the title four times, Super Kings have won it thrice.

As far as the team is concerned, Matthew Hayden and Sachin Tendulkar are the two openers. Rohit and Raina also decided against naming themselves in the team. They picked Faf du Plessis at number three followed by Ambati Rayudu for the fourth spot.

And while Rohit Sharma and Raina were struggling to choose one star over another, they had no hesitation in naming MS Dhoni as the captain of the team. The team has as many as four allrounders in the form of Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo. Jasprit Bumrah and Harbhajan Singh are the two specialist bowlers in the side.

Combined XI picked by Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina:

Matthew Hayden, Sachin Tendulkar, Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni (C & wk), Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Jasprit Bumrah.
