Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan continued from where they left off in the second One-Day International against South Africa. The duo had shared an unbeaten partnership of 94 in the second game and shared another brilliant stand in the third ODI.

Kohli joined Dhawan in the middle when India was staring down the barrel. Kagiso Rabada had sent back Rohit Sharma for a six-ball duck in the very first over.

However, the pressure soon evaporated, as the Delhi stars got their grooves and played shots all around the park. Dhawan and Kohli shared a decisive 140-run stand to lay the foundation for a big total.

The partnership was looking almost unbreakable before Dhawan perished while attempting a big shot off JP Duminy. The southpaw, who had scored an unbeaten fifty in the second game, scored 76. Kohli on the other hand, stayed till the end and played monumental unbeaten knock of 160.

The captain’s knock helped India post a huge total of 303 for six in the allotted 50 overs. The score tuned out to be more than enough, as India thrashed South Africa by 124 runs.

After the comprehensive victory, the batting stars were all smiles.  Taking to Instagram, Dhawan posted a photo of the two and Kohli reposted it with the caption:

“#Repost @shikhardofficial Great win and great partnership with Jatt Ji! ??・・・ Yaar tere maardey gharo kadkey @virat.kohli ????????”
