“India will be tested,” Pringle told CricTracker in an interview.

The 51-year-old Pringle added he does not see India returning in the series owing to the pace and bounce the surfaces have an offer in South Africa.

“I can’t see them making a comeback, Pretoria and Johannesburg wickets are quick and bouncy,” Pringle stated.

Interestingly, when asked about Virat Kohli’s role as a skipper while donning the whites for India in away conditions, Pringle has praised the way of the former who always wears heart on his sleeve.

“There are all sorts of captains around the world. Virat shows his aggression and emotions which to me is brilliant,” Pringle said on Kohli.

Pringle further praised the leadership qualities of a batsman who has already piled-up the miseries for the top-quality bowling stocks across the globe.

“Others may look at it differently. He is a great captain,” Pringle added.

Pringle, who recently enjoyed his holidays in Thailand, revealed the selection of Team India sits well with him for the first Test at Newlands.

“The team India selected, according to me, was not wrong,” Pringle further added after missing the live game which further forced him to follow the highlights in order to shed the light regarding the game.

Surprisingly, the former bowler targeted the wicket has been a major worrying sign and eventually led to the batting collapses before the Proteas sealed the game by 72 runs to lead the series 1-0.

“The problem in the first Test was the wicket as it didn’t play up to its normal way. Both sides battled in the second innings,” Pringle maintained.

Concluding, Pringle hinted the quota system has somewhat taken a toll while adding the batting line-up has been delivering well for the South African national side.

“SA (South Africa) have nothing to worry about when it comes to the batting line up- though the biggest problem is politics, which means there is a quota system in place,” Pringle concluded as the Proteas is listed second on ICC’s Test rankings.
