Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, on Wednesday, decided to give the fans something to enjoy by going live on Instagram. Cricket all across the world is currently suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. Last month, the BCCI suspended the IPL till April 15.
The IPL was scheduled to start on March 29. The BCCI had to also call off the three-match series against South Africa. The likes of England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and others have also called off their international and domestic fixtures.
And with not much to do nowadays, cricketers have been using the opportunity to interact with their fans on social media. Previously, Rohit Sharma had gone live on Instagram with Yuzvendra Chahal and Kevin Pietersen. And on Wednesday, he went live with Jasprit Bumrah.
Rohit Sharma roast Rishabh Pant:
During the live session, one of the most hilarious moments came when Jasprit Bumrah told Rohit Sharma that Rishabh Pant wants to challenge him. The challenge was ‘who can hit the biggest six’. In reply, Rohit Sharma played down the challenge in hilarious manner, saying:
“Mere sath usko karna hai? Sa*a ek saal hua nahi usko cricket khelke, chhakke ka competition kar rha hai (“He wants to compete against me? Sa*a, he has played cricket for hardly a year and wants to have a competition”)”

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has not played any competitive game since the T20I series against New Zealand. A calf injury brought a premature end to his New Zealand tour. He was part of both the ODI and the Test teams. India missed his services badly and were whitewashed in both the series.
In his absence, Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal failed to deliver at the top of the order. Bumrah’s last appearance also came on the same tour.
