Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar recently celebrated his 47th birthday and on the momentous occasion, wishes galore for the Little Champion from every nook and corner of the world.

Tendulkar, during his celebrated 24-year-old career achieved almost everything that this beautiful game has to offer. He is the only player to play 200 Test matches; he is the first player to scale Mount.10,000 and a double-hundred in ODI cricket; he is the leading run-scorer in both formats of the game; he has the most number of centuries in both Tests and ODIs; he has the most number of World Cup runs and of-course he also has a World Cup medal.

But despite achieving everything, former Indian all-rounder and 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev still feels that such was Sachin’s talent that he could have achieved a lot more than he eventually did.

Many people misunderstand the statements I make when I talk. According to me, Sachin Tendulkar is the finest cricketer India has produced. I still feel that he should have done much better than he did. He had already done so much, and no one has performed better than him, but I feel, Sachin had even more talent,” Kapil Dev said during an interview with Radio City.

He added: “Sachin has had an amazing career. To play for your country for 24 years is easy to say but difficult to do. I wish him all the happiness.”
