Sachin Tendulkar Donates Medical Equipment For Over 2000 Underprivileged Children To Assam Hospital

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has shown his philanthropic side once again after he donated medical equipment to a charitable hospital in Assam.

The move is set to benefit over 2000 children belonging to underprivileged families. The ‘Goodwill Ambassador of UNICEF’, Sachin Tendulkar, has donated equipment required in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit [NICU] and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit [PICU] to the Makunda hospital located in the Karimganj district of Assam.

Besides that, Sachin Tendulkar’s foundation has also helped in providing nutrition and education to the tribal communities of Madhya Pradesh and the aforementioned initiative is also set to help a lot of underprivileged communities in the North East.

The Paediatric Surgeon of Makunda Hospital, Dr. Vijay Anand Ismael, expressed his gratitude towards Sachin Tendulkar’s benevolent gesture, adding that the grant from the legendary cricketer’s foundation will help them provide better services at low costs to a large number of poor people in the region.

”The grant from the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation with support from Ekam Foundation will help us to provide better services at low costs to the poor people who come in large numbers in this area.”
