Former Pakistan captain Waqar Younis in a chat recently revealed that former India batsman Sachin Tendulkar is the best batsman he had ever bowled too. Waqar also rated Sachin higher when asked to compare between Sachin and Lara.
The 46-year-old Waqar resigned from the post of Pakistan’s head coach last year and is currently associated with a franchise team in Bangladesh Premier League.
In a recent chat, the former legend Waqar was asked to compare between two legendary batsmen; the God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar and the legend from West Indies, Brian Lara, to which Waqar rated the Indian maestro higher.
Waqar further admitted he had seen Sachin grow as a cricketer and had never seen such a committed cricketer. He also mentioned it was a challenge to bowl to the master blaster.

“I played a lot against Tendulkar, and he made his debut against us. Over the years I saw him become a thorough professional and I have not seen such a committed player. He was the best batsman I bowled to, and it used to be a challenge,” Waqar stated.
Talking about Lara, the greatest exponent of reverse swing Waqar noted that Lara was naturally gifted and can be devastating on his day.
