Sania Mirza Reveals Her Reply To Husband Shoaib Malik After He Boasted About His Record Against India

Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza tied the knot with Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik in 2010. Since then, the couple have been one of the most popular ones in both India and Pakistan. At a time when the relation between the two countries is at an all time low, Sania Mirza and Malik have shown that love transcends boundaries.

And while the couple get a lot of adulation from people of both the countries, there is little denying that Sania Mirza has also faced some unfortunate situation since marrying the former Pakistan captain. Despite being one of India’s most decorated tennis players, her loyalty to the country has always been questioned.

And Sania Mirza has never shied away from making it clear whose side she is on. Recently, she reiterated it again as she revealed even before marrying Malik, she had told him about her love for India. In a recent Facebook chat with Sportskeeda, she spoke about her equation with her husband.

“Our relationship is very fun. I think that’s the first time people got to see what it really is. We both like to keep it pretty light, and I think it the first time that everybody got to see he is the more talkative one than I am, contrary to the belief in the world,” Sania Mirza said.

‘I’ll support India no matter what’:

Both Sania Mirza and Malik take a lot of pride in representing their respective countries. And when Malik tried to boast about his record against India before the wedding, the tennis star made it clear that no matter what happens, her loyalty will be always for India.

“For some reason, he loved to play against India. So, when we were dating, whenever we spoke about it, I always used to say, ‘I’ll support India no matter what. And then he used to say, ‘My record against India I want to tell you is the best that I have.’ He’s been around for a long time and I think he has had an amazing career. I am really proud of him,” she said.
