Sanju Samson Reveals Hilarious Conversation With Shikhar Dhawan After The Latter Was Hit By A Bouncer

India wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson has been all over the newspaper after his swashbuckling knock in the last unofficial ODI against South Africa A. The cricketer, who is in good mind space, recently revealed a hilarious conversation with Shikhar Dhawan after the latter was struck by a bouncer.

Samson scored a 48-ball 91 including six fours and seven sixes as the hosts posted 204 for 4 in 20 overs. South Africa A suffered a batting collapse and could only score 168 as they lost the match by 36 runs. Since then, many have touted him to be India’s no 4 batsman in the middle-order.

Renowned cricketers Gautam Gambhir and Harbhajan Singh have backed his claims to be in the India team. Sanju Samson then won hearts when he donated his entire match fees to the groundsmen. A natural stroke player, Sanju made his international debut in 2015 during a T20I game against Zimbabwe.

After his consistent good shows in the IPL and the domestic circuit, the Kerala-born cricketer will be eyeing to settle a berth in the national side. Meanwhile, Sanju Samson recently revealed a funny story surrounding his opening partner Shikhar Dhawan from the fifth unofficial ODI.

Dhawan copped a nasty blow in the neck after missing the ball while playing scoop shot off Beuran Hendricks. He underwent a mandatory concussion test and continued to bat and scored a valuable half-century for his side. The southpaw had two good outings with India A and will hope to bounce back when India begin their campaign against South Africa in the T20Is.

The Delhi-born cricketer took to Twitter to post a motivational quote on Instagram. Shikhar Dhawan wrote that people fall, break only to rise again.

We fall, we break, we fail… But then… WE RISE, WE HEAL, WE OVERCOME,” Dhawan wrote with a video.

Meanwhile, Sanju Samson revealed a funny conversation he had with Shikhar Dhawan after the latter got hit. Dhawan had reportedly asked Samson to check the ball it was okay or not moments later Bueren Hendricks struck him on the neck.

“After getting hit he says to me…
Ball ko dekh toot gaya hoga !!??
@shikhardofficial it was just amazing to spend time with you in the middle …,” Samson wrote.
