Sarfraz Ahmed Gets Inspired by Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Skills

Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed has lavished praise on former Team India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s skills who now features as a wicketkeeper-batsman.

Gloveman Sarfraz also opened about his only meeting with the veteran Ranchi-based cricketer.

Sarfraz, who led Pakistan to 2017 Champions Trophy title subsequent;y lauded Dhoni for his leadership role across formats. The Pakistan captain said that MS Dhoni-led were successful in all three formats of the game.

Sarfraz has looked up to MS Dhoni.

Surprisingly, Sarfraz revealed he has met Dhoni only once in his career when Pakistan faced India on fourth of June, last year in the Champions Trophy fixture at Birmingham in Edgbaston.

In fact, it is a well known that Dhoni has inspired everyone with his unique technique. Dhoni has the ability to think two step ahead in the game which made him one of the most successful captains in the limited-overs format.

Sarfraz being the wicketkeeper-batsman himself has tried to follow the successful path of Dhoni. In fact, the younger generation has always looked up to a player like Dhoni for all the positive vibes.

Meanwhile, Pakistan next assignment will be a Tri-nation Twenty20 International series including Australia in Zimbabwe.

Concurrently, the Men in Green are at the top of the perch in the T20I Rankings. Sarfraz will then lead Pakistan in five-match ODI series against Zimbabwe.

On the other hand, MS Dhoni will be seen in action for the Men in Blue when India will lock horns with Ireland in the first T20I at Malahide Cricket Club (MCC) in Dublin.

A renowned Pakistan journalist named Saj Sadiq took to his official Twitter – to share the statement of Sarfraz Ahmed.

His post read as, “Sarfraz Ahmed “MS Dhoni lead his side well as a captain in all 3 formats. I’ve only met him once, that was on 4th June 2017 during the India-Pakistan game. When I look at him as a player and as a captain, I am definitely inspired by him”.
