Yet another legendary player of the game backs Mahendra Singh Dhoni to play ICC World Cup 2019. From the last one and half year, the presence of MS Dhoni for the grand event has been the biggest debate across the world. However, the former Australian Shane Warne believes that the stalwart player must be on the Indian side.

MS Dhoni failed to show his mark in the last one year. However, he made a great comeback by smashing beautiful knocks against Australia to collect man of the series award. He also carried his form in New Zealand series.

Further, he believes that Dhoni got the best wicketkeeping skills, which is a blessing for the team. Besides Dhoni, Shane Warne wants other players of India to perform well in order to lift the trophy in the upcoming major event.

Warne also explained the importance of Dhoni for the World Cup. “MS Dhoni for me is in the side. For me, he can bat at number four, five, six depending on any situation. So he is definitely the wicket-keeper for me in the team. You need that experience in the squad to win a World Cup.”

”You need your big players to perform well and if India is going to win the World Cup they need Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and MS Dhoni to perform as well as guys like Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar Kumar) and (Jasprit) Bumrah need to perform really well, ” Warne added in his interview to Times of India.

Well, as Shane Warne said, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the must for India in order to come good in the major event. Besides his batting, Dhoni will make a major impact with his tactical planning and wicket-keeping skills.

Shane Warne hails Virat Kohli’s captaincy:

At Present, Warne believes that Virat Kohli is the best leader in the game of cricket. Besides him, he also lauds Kane Williamson and Tim Paine, who got great tactics in their armour.

“I think he is the best leader of the team at the moment. There is a difference between captaincy, tactics and the leader of the team. I am a huge Virat Kohli fan. I think he is great for the game of cricket. He leads his team so well. Tactically it’s very hard to split. I think Tim Paine, Kane Williamson from New Zealand are very good tactically as well. So I think it’s very hard to say if there are any standout captains but I would say the best leader of men at the moment is definitely Virat Kohli,” Warne told NDTV.

Well, it would be interesting to see how the ICC World Cup 2019 is going to pan out for India. If the reports are to be believed, MS Dhoni is eyeing to call curtains after the grand event.
