Shikhar Dhawan reveals one of the most special knocks of his career:

Meanwhile, there were multiple reasons for Dhawan naming the knock of 117 off 109 balls as one of his special ones. Firstly, the match against the defending champions was a crucial group game and a high-voltage clash for both sides. Secondly, the 34-year old in his man of the match effort, crafted the innings with a broken thumb.

Dhawan top-scored in that game as India posted 352 and later beat Australia by 36 runs. While describing as one of his most significant innings, Dhawan said: “Mardo walli feeling aayi.” Unfortunately, the match is also remembered as his last in the mega event. Due to the fractured thumb, the left-handed had to sit out of the remaining fixtures of the competition. The men in blue topped the group stage; however, suffered a heartbreaking loss to New Zealand in the semi-finals in Manchester.
