Shikhar Dhawan Wishes Virat Kohli & Anushka Sharma In His Own Style

It took Shikhar Dhawan a while to wish Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma but when he did he made sure to make it an interesting one for the newlyweds.

Since Kohli and Anushka broke the news through their official Twitter handles, a host of stars from the sporting world did not waste time in wishing the couple before Dhawan also joined the party.

One of the funniest characters in the Indian dressing room, Gabbar, as he is fondly called by his teammates, took to Instagram on Tuesday (December 12) to wish Mr and Mrs Kohli. The swashbuckling opener posted an unseen image on social media where he could be seen on a scooter with his wife and giving him company is India captain Kohli and Anushka, who were riding another scooter.

“Do mastaane chale zindagi banaane.??. Wish you both a very happy married life and lots of happiness. @virat.kohli @anushkasharma …,” he wrote.

The wedding on Monday, meanwhile, brought an end to a week of speculations surrounding the wedding.  The rumours were viciously doing the rounds for a long time over their supposed wedding and it went up a notch when Anushka and her family were spotted at the Mumbai Airport headed for Italy. However, Kohli and Anushka kept the whole matter under the wraps and finally revealed it only after getting married.

“Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share this wonderful news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans and well-wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey,” they wrote on their respective Twitter handles.

The couple will now host a reception in New Delhi for their relatives on 21st December which will be followed by a reception for industry friends and cricketers in Mumbai on 26th December.
