Once again, Shivam Dube makes it into the headlines in the cricketing world. The stylish all-rounder smashed a 58-ball century for Mumbai in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy facing Karnataka. However, the century didn’t inspire Mumbai to seal the victory, as Karnataka bowlers were smart enough in sealing the victory.

Initially, it wasย  Mumbai, who won the toss, elected to bowl first. Lokesh Rahul and Devdutt combined to smash 137 runs for the opening wicket while second wicket and third wicket fell in a quick succession of 8 runs when Devdutt and Rabada walked back to the hut.

In reply to the chase, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Aditya Tare got the decent starts but failed to convert them into a big score. The number 3 batsman Siddhesh Lad too got the start but failed to convert it while Shreyas Iyer contributed only 11 runs to the team.

Just when things looked all easy for Karnataka, Shivam Dube smashed a stunning century to put Mumbai in the hunt. During his knock, he caressed 10 sixes and smashed 7 boundaries to his name. Apart from Shivam Dube, none of the batsmen even crossed the 35-run mark.
