Asian giants Pakistan have performed miserably in the ongoing ODI series against the Kiwis so far, and after the conclusion of the first four matches in the five-match series, New Zealand lead the series by a 4-0 margin. A whitewash is looming large, and unless Pakistan gets their act together, we New Zealand are all set to blow them away yet again.

The Pakistan top order looks brittle and has ended up giving away their wickets pretty cheaply. Most of the batsman never allowed Pakistan to get off to a reasonable start. Skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed hasn’t had a great time either, and despite seeing glimpses, he has failed to lead his side from the front, and that has been the reason behind the series scoreline.

Former Pakistan speedster and arguably the fastest bowler in the world during his time, Shoaib Akhtar lashed out at Sarfaraz for his leadership during 4th ODI against New Zealand. It was a sensational knock of 74 of 40 deliveries from the blade of Colin de Grandhomme as he was allowed to play the big shots to perfection.

“I saw many flaws in Sarfraz’s captaincy in this game. Amir did not bowl a bouncer to Grandhomme, who had just come in to bat. There was no slip for Grandhomme, singles were being allowed easily,” Akhtar was quoted as saying by Pak Passion.

Akhtar who has now turned in to a commentator and a cricket analyst praised Grandhomme for his sensational which made the Pakistan attack look clueless towards the fag end of the chase.

Nothing has been working in Pakistan’s favor in the series so far. When their batsmen have put on some runs, their star-studded bowling line-up has failed to get going and vice versa. With the series 4-0 in favor of the Kiwis, both the teams will be playing their final 50 over encounter of the series on Friday in Wellington. A win for Pakistan will give them confidence going ahead.
